These images are from a long drive from Matala to Sougia, five or six hours, via the Amari Valley, Loutro and Frangokastello. Matala and Sougia are both on the south coast, but you have to drive to the north coast to go from one to the other.

This one is probably the ruins of a Venetian castle. It has cannon ports.
This is not to be confused with Canon parts, which may be strewn around the base of the castle by photographers foolish enough to try to climb it.
