We were fortunate to be able to visit the studio of the renowned Cuban Photographer René Peña.

We received a fascinating account of the insights he converts into photographs.

Though based in Cuba, he has exhibited in Spain, Italy and the US as well as Cuba.

Jose Marti was a leader of the Cuban Independence Movement in the nineteenth century, which included three wars. He died in battle in 1895.
