Flinders Ranges, South Australia, 18 August 2016
.
This is on fourth day of the Flinders Ranges workshop ..
.
It started off a normal morning as we got up and wandered round near Merna Mora Station.
.
Then the incident at the US base at Pine Gap coloured the morning somewhat.
.
After that, everything was different.
.
Of, course, you won’t read about these things in the newspapers.
.
Some areas were more affected than others.
.
You’d think they’d know better than to play around with their nuclear weapons.
.
So we stopped by a pub but it seemed to be closed.
.
We couldn’t find any bar staff no matter how hard we looked.
.
Curious taste in interior decorations, though.
.
Still no bar staff to be found.
.
Looking from one window to another.
.
We are not far from the red heart of Australia.
.
You’d think there might at least have been a skeleton staff.
.
Though clearly the insects were getting out of hand.
.
So we visited nearby Nilpena Station and perused the range of modern agricultural machinery in their showroom.
.
.
.
.
In a place like this, it is important to take note of the local landmarks, just in case you become lost.
.
Love the story!
