Wineglass Bay Sail Walk Day 2
.
After our morning’s walk we headed off from Fortescue Bay towards Maria Island.
.
This is the cockpit, I think, where we are able to sit in comfort enclosed from the weather and the spray and watch the world go by….

Skipper James at the wheel.
.
We were lucky with the conditions. We had a good breeze behind us so we were able to cruise along under sail. The main sail is up, slightly reefed.
.
… and a jib is up on a fore mast.

Looking up, at the bow.
.
We were making so much headway that even the ocean was curving away from the boat.

Looking back from the bow.
.
Of course, there was also the passing countryside to observe.
.
.
More from the stern, now.

This one of me taken by the outgoing captain (whose name escapes me at the moment). Mitch in the background.

Wonderful pics.

I’ll take your word for it. It’s decades since I’ve seen a Duran Duran video.

Having some sailing experience, I felt these images for sure. And your beard is almost as white as mine.

I can see how it could become a lifestyle if you had the resources and time.
