This follows on from the Quinault Rainforest post but I have been too busy taking and processing live music images to continue for a few weeks.
I drove north and stopped at some oceanside beaches, which provide the first four images. Then seeing I had time on my hands I detoured to Hoh Rainforest although I would be going there the next day. I just wandered around the outside. The next day i would go on one of the trails.

Kalaloch Creek at Kalaoch Beach.

Kalaloch Creek Bend.

A viewpoint at a beach further along the coastal road.
The signboards refer to “Razor clams” and “Drift Logs and Riptides”. You won’t be able to read that on the smaller image here though.

.
Cedar Creek at Ruby Beach, looking towards Abbey Island, probably taken from the nearby parking area.

.
We have now detoured and are heading along the Hoh River towards the Hoh Rainforest.
.
.
.
Here some of the foundations of the road have been washed away by the river in flood. My rental car in the distance.

Now we are in the Hoh Rainforest. Further comment on these rainforest images is really superfluous.

.
Perhaps it’s all about finding patterns in chaos though.

As you can see, it’s Autumn.

Heading back along the Hoh river towards La Push. I’ve just visited a rainforest so no surprise that it’s raining.
.
.
.
Here we are now at La Push, on the wild Pacific coast of Washington.
.
.
.
I has a very comfortable room at off-season rates, with the wild weather and seascape right outside the window.
.
.
.
Mysterious offshore islands.
.
.
.
Later I wandered out and took some night-time exposures, both for two minutes.
.
.
.
The sign at bottom left says “Beware of Wildlife”. What could that be? Short-faced bears? Smiladons? Pteranodons? Mosquitos? The danger seemed remote at the time.

For those interested, I wondered what I took these images with, eight and a half years ago. All 26 were taken with a Fujifilm X-T2. 15 used an 80mm f2.8 macro (rainforest shots); 8 used a 10-24mm f4 (wide landscapes); 3 used a 35mm f1.4 (at La Push).
