Maui, Hawaii, 7 March 2015
From Kahanu Gardens we went to Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach, just outside of Hana, that we had visited briefly the previous day. The weather was better although there was still rain in the air.
.
Just beside the beach, a recent grave of a local Hawaiian. Clearly someone with a lot of community respect.
.
Just beside the beach was a lava tube/ tunnel that I had to half crawl through.
.
The black sand beach.
.
Some conjuring going on here. A woman appears out of an outstretched hand and a woman in the water asks her companions “What am I doing here?”.
.
Looking back. I went for a walk past the beach to the next point.

… and back to the beach…..

Very nice images, Murray. Thanks!
