3 September 2017, Tahune Air Walk, Tasmania
.
Tahune air walk provides a remarkable opportunity to walk through a forest at near tree top level.
Huon River.
.
Meeting of Huon and Picton Rovers.
Usually I present my images chronologically. Here they are more thematically.
.
First are images that include the Huon river.
.
.
Next are images where we look across at the trees from way up in the ait.
.
.
.
.
.
This is a knot in a tree trunk, probably where a branch used to be, but it is a long way off the ground.
.
.
.
Finally, we have images looking straight down from the air walks.
.
.
These are big ferns. it’s a long way down.
.
.
Another Wow! Love the knot and more. What is the white tree? No pix of how you got up there or what your position was. I can’t think well enough to ask this one. architecture? Sorry. Alzheimers.

The white tree is a eucalypt but no idea which one (there are hundreds). It’s a 600 metre metal walkway up to 50 metres above the ground: https://www.spiritoftasmania.com.au/blog/tahune-forest-airwalk
