That’s the last of the images from Scotland. 1,150 images and 40,000 words in 93 posts.
There will be very few posts in the next couple of weeks. I have to make headway on processing the images from Narooma Blues Festival last weekend, my computer is dead and needs resuscitation (I’m posting this from my laptop) and I’m heading off overseas in less than a fortnight. More on that before I go.
I still have to make final posts from my North Atlantic journey for Lofoten Islands, Spitzbergen, Greenland and Iceland. I will resume those in November or December.
Great shots =)

I must look back at your previous posts about Scotland. These monochrome images are stunning. Some of them really pull you in. Good luck with your computer.

Thanks very much.
Hopefully replacing the SSD will solve the problem. It went totally missing for a while and it’s now back intermittently. I should have a replacement in a day or two.

Great series in Monochrome, some I like better than the colour ones but on the whole these are really strong as mono. It has been a great trip through Scotland in particular the Shetland and Orkney Islands. Thank you for taking us on this trip, Murray and I look forward to the next journey of yours.

Thank you, Lee. Yes, perhaps the sparse landscapes and ancient structures are particularly suited to monochromes.

Ex! Qui! Si! Te! I had been waiting for these and they exceed my expectations by far. A stunning collection. Time perhaps to think about setting up a show…?

Thanks heaps, Alessandro. An exhibition, you mean? I’ll have to get to that at some stage but too much unfinished processing and too many new projects. I do have 42 frames from my live music exhibitions a few years ago, though.

I so enjoy my visits to all these places via your images & dialogue.

Thanks so much David. I’m heading off to South-West Canyonlands and New Orleans and definitely taking a camera. I’ll put up a post on that within about a week.

Great collection, I think that the monochrome renditions add drama to the images. I’m looking forward to your images of North Atlantic

I’ll agree with the comments by others, What a great series. I like that you took the time to add additional mood to already descriptive images by converting to B&W.
I also enjoy the juxtaposition of the modern telephone booth and thousand+ year old buildings in “Culswick”.

Thanks very much John. Actually though, the drystone building behind the telephone box has a window so is probably hundreds rather than thousands of years old. The broch, on the other hand….

Ok, hundreds…that still doesn’t take from your fine image sir.
