All images are from a morning’s walk around the abandoned village of Inneston in Dhilba Guuranda–Innes National Park, South Australia, where we were staying in a renovated cottage.  Most are from the post Inneston, which also contains detailed information on the history.  Some are from the infrared post Inneston and South-West Yorke Peninsula (IR). which by way of a bonus also includes a few facetious comments.

  1. The ‘guard’ is very interesting looking a tad oriental.
Given the possible age of this statue, what might have been the oriental influence around this time?

The house is still standing so he is doing a good job as ‘guard’.
