Wineglass Bay Sail Walk Day 5

It was a wonderful day to be in the ketch in Wineglass Bay because not only was it a fine day but we were surrounded by a profusion of wildlife.  There were shoals of fish in the bay which had attracted seals, seabirds and dolphins.  Here we see a little tern diving for fish and behind that a colony of Australian fur seals is hauled out on the rocks.  There is also a little black cormorant on the rock at the right.

Here we have a cotillion of tern stretched out at the edge of the beach while there are two silver gulls in the water.

Since the weather was so good, we took off for a brief sail out of the bay in the late afternoon.

At front left is the point where the seals are hauled out, then the beach where the terns are and Mt Graham behind.

This is the last post of the Wineglass Bay Sail/ Walk.  We walked out to the carpark the next day and thence a bus trip to Hobart, but I took few photographs then.  Still a few more posts to come from the trip back from Tasmania and I’ll also do a few mono posts.
