Mull, Inner Hebrides, Scotland. Day 13 to 14 , 11th to 12th July.
This is Dervaig, where I stayed for my one night on Mull. I actually took this the next day on my way to Tobermory but it works better as an introductory shot.
.
There has been a village here since about 1200 though the current one was laid out in 1799. I had a good meal at this inn. It dates from 1608 and the sign says “The oldest inn on Mull”. There has been habitation around here for a long time though. Nearby are some standing stones and the remains of an ancient fort.
.
After a meal at the inn I took some shots of the sun slowly going down over the water.
.
.
Next morning I encountered this curious sight of sheep stranded by the tide.
.
Actually, they weren’t really stranded and after they got bored with standing there for an hour or so, they made for the shore.
.
The next day I had to do my laundry so while I’d hoped to go for a drive down the west coast of Mull, I had to make for Tobermory. I still had a little time for exploring so I went off down the first side road I could find and found this ship.
.
.
Finally, a small boat near a wharf towards the end of the road.
