Yes, it’s amazing to watch. You can see the tongue coiled up in its mouth before it shoots out, it’s approximately the length of the body and it’s very fast.

That gecko shot is amazing – how did you spot it? And ‘the shot’ – chameleon with tongue out 🙂 Enjoy South Georgia.

We were travelling at about 5mph on a rough road in the bus when roadside workers stopped us and pointed it out.

I was telling Doug today about your shots on a prior post where you’d caught the chameleons in the act of snagging the bugs. He wondered how long you spent waiting for each shot. The color on that first chameleon in this set is incredible!

It was set up for me. There was a grasshopper on the end of a stick for the chameleon to catch. You can see the stick in the first image. Still difficult to catch.

I have seen a few photographs of the Lakes District but have never been there.
